Start on the M6 motorway heading either northbound or southbound, depending on your current location and direction of travel.

Take exit 36 onto the A590 towards Kendal/Barrow-in-Furness.

Follow the A590 for approximately 5 miles until you reach a roundabout.

At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A591 signposted Kendal.

Continue on the A591 for about 7 miles, passing through several roundabouts and junctions.

As you approach Kendal, you will come to a large roundabout with the signs for the A6, A591, and A65.

Take the third exit onto the A6 signposted Kendal.

Stay on the A6 for about 0.5 miles until you reach a small roundabout.

At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Romney Road (A65).

Follow Romney Road for approximately 0.4 miles until you reach another roundabout.

At this roundabout, take the second exit onto Appleby Road (A685).

Continue on Appleby Road for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto New Road.

After turning onto New Road, continue straight for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto Kendal Green.

Proceed along Kendal Green for approximately 0.1 miles.

25 Kendal Green will be on your right-hand side. You have reached your destination. Please park on the road as close the No25 as you can.

Oxenholme - the Lake District is the mainline station with direct trains to London and Glasgow.

It is a 15 minute taxi ride to the Bothy from Oxenholme.

A local train to Kendal station takes 10 minutes and it is possible to walk from there. It takes 15 minutes…but up a steep hill!

The 555 stops on Windermere rd. Ask to be let out near Fairfield Lane. It is a 5 minute walk to the house.
